Cyclepods have recently completed a project with train operating company, London Midland. This involved the provision of 470 new cycle parking spaces at 6 stations in a limited timescale. These stations were; Watford Junction, Northampton, Bletchley, Walsall and Alvechurch.
At Jaguar Land Rover, the existing employee bike storage was outdated, oversubscribed and becoming a hassle to maintain. This site transformation is a great example of the differences made in ease of use & aesthetics by ensuring your cycle storage facilities are up to date and of a superior quality.
This pioneering Cycle Hub design is the product of Cyclepods innovation and creativity meeting Waltham Forest Council’s forward-thinking ambition. Leyton Super Hub is now a beacon for Waltham Forest and a benchmark for further multi-level hubs in London.
In 2016, Cyclepods took on our biggest project to date. We designed and built 8 new Cycle Hubs across the South West Trains Networks as part of their Cycle-Rail Integration project, in partnership with the Department for Transport, local authorities and the Rail Delivery Group.
Lewes Cycle Hub was a full turnkey project for Cyclepods. We were involved in every step of the process from designing the initial Hub concept to carry out installation and fully equipping the Cycle Hub with state-of-the-art facilities such as access-control, CCTV, gas-assisted two-tier racks and bike pump and repair stand.
Swanke Hayden Connell Architects approached us to assist them in planning 200 bike parking spaces into a basement area within the new KPMG Head office at Canary Wharf, London. The area had to accommodate 200 bikes spaces but also full change facilities, a drying room, lockers, showers and toilets.
Cyclepods were contacted by South West Train on behalf of Network Rail and Transport for London, to provide an additional 330 spaces to the existing cycle storage facilities at London Waterloo Station, the country’s busiest rail station with over 96 million entries and exits per year.
Brighton Cycle Hub is Cyclepods’ biggest and possibly proudest achievement to date. With a huge 500 space storage facility, security lighting and state of the art entry and exit access technology all provided by us, it is a fantastic addition to Brighton station and the town’s cycling community.
Cyclepods are Broadgate estates chosen cycle parking experts, over 3 years we have supplied and installed cycle parking solutions across several sites including; More London, Canary Wharf and the Corn Exchange using products such as Easylift Two-Tier, Spacepods and traditional solutions.
Brighton and Sussex University approached us to provide cycle parking in the brand new Northfield student accommodation campus. The limited space required an innovative solution which had to suit the conservation area, provide security for bicycles and fit the ecological ethos of the University.
Barratt Homes were previously using standard bikes stands but having to place them in compounds to comply with schemes such as “Secured by Design” and “Code for Sustainable Homes”. They required a cost effective secure cycle storage option which also needed to be extremely space efficient.
Heathrow Airport Cycle Hub is a part of the Airport dedicated to promote sustainable travel options and support the thousands of staff at the airport who choose to cycle into work. They required extra cycle storage due to the refurbishment of the main tunnel at Heathrow.
We installed two types of bike storage at the Boots Company Headquarters in Nottingham to cater for the growing number of employees choosing to commute by bike. The first phase of the project was installing 32 Black Streetpods, giving 64 bike spaces, outside and under an existing shelter.
